Course Description: Learn to “paint” with wool! This class and eBook will provide everything you need to know about using fiber to create artistic, vibrant 2-dimensional artwork. After an overview of the history and basics, we will create several reference samplers using a variety of techniques. We will then move on to creating 3 landscapes using needle felting techniques to achieve beautiful effects. Students will learn how to use value, composition, size and color to create depth and interest. The online course includes a downloadable pdf of lessons, and step by step instructions with photos, which will allow you to see every part of the process from start to a finished piece.

What is the difference between ART in felt and other techniques? My course teaches how use the medium of fiber to paint with it and create fine art, and learn about painterly techniques that can be applied to this medium. Finding your personal style and exploring artistic themes will also be covered.
Each segment of this course introduces skills and techniques, and one builds upon the next. By the end of the course, you can expect to have completed several projects, have a good understanding of how to create beautiful landscapes and other projects. We will also explore some creative and fun projects using color, imagery, and personal expression. This class suitable for beginners as well as those who wish to take their felting skills to the next level.
