I am drawn to sculptural expression with clay, inspired by the elegance of natural forms seen in stone, trees and birds.

I also enjoy drawing on clay, and see a definite play between my fiber art and ceramic work in imagery and storytelling.

Having spent my earlier years as a functional potter, the satisfaction of creating a table full of thrown wares is still appealing,
but I find that I am moving now in my career toward less function and more investigation of story and imagery.
